Took out braids!

So I took my braids down last night! Sigh... It took me 4 hours! What the! It's never taken me that long, it's not like I had micros.

My hair is soooooo dry! After being in braids for 2 and a half months, my hair needs therapy. Bad! I'm thinking of letting it soak in oil! Ok, I'm not gonna do that, but I do need to moisturizer bad or I will start to experience breakage, which is all bad. Deciding on what to do!

Braids coming out today!

Im officially so over my braids and ready for my fro again! With not much thought, I've decided to rock my fro again!

I have to admit, I am a little scared because I don't know what state my hair will be in. I've been rocking braids since November 2011. It's been a nice break not having to do my hair, however I miss my hair!

What better time to do it then today! It's the weekend, so I got all weekend to perfect my hair!

Protective Style

I'm currently rockin braids as a protective style. I always do my own hair so I make sure not to pull to tight cause we all know how bad breakage can be, horrid!

Toot toot! That's just me tooting my own horn cause I'm so good at doing hair! Lol

Realization

Today I had a great talk with my mom and her boyfriend, Talib! What I realized about myself... I don't like to ask for help, I try to do everything on my own, I love to write, I love my hair, and to follow my dreams. I already knew these things about myself, but sometimes you have to just here it from someone else. I could blog more, I can write more often, I can dedicate more time to me, which is exactly what I'm going to do! What does all that mean for this blog? More posts people! More pics! Us natural hair females know we love to see some pictures of hair! Thanks Mom and Talib! Love you both!

I love that I inspire other women to go natural. If your considering it, DO IT! You will love it, at least I do!

I miss my fro!

So I've been doing the whole protective styling for 2 months now! I can't even believe I've lasted this long. Oh how I miss my hair! I'm the girl who plays in her hair wayyyy to much, so this protective styling was needed for me. I've also noticed that my hair doesn't do to well in the winter. Oh bother Christopher Robinson, as Winny the Pooh would say. Therefore I need to find a better way to keep it moisturized if i wear it out during the winter.
